Course: BIOL-UA 913 Special Topics in Biology: RNA Worlds: From Beginning of Life to Medicines

Course description:

This course covers both the fundamentals and recent advances in RNA biology in organisms ranging from bacteria to humans. We will discuss the logic and mechanics underlying RNA metabolism in health and disease, as well as the biochemistry of early life and antiviral defense strategies in different organisms. Students will also be introduced to cutting-edge methods for studying RNA pathways and how scientists apply new knowledge to develop RNA-based therapies.
