Bio Core I: Molecular Systems

This intensive team-taught core course surveys the major areas of up-to-date molecular biology, molecular genetics and systems biology. Topics include the molecular structure and function of polynucleic acids and proteins, and their fundamental roles in cell biology and disease. The course will also introduce basic concepts in genetics, genomics, and systems biology. A strong emphasis will be placed on novel experimental approaches that form the basis of the current wave of discovery in biomedicine.
